There is a growing demand for organic products among the urban families and there is a dearth of supply. This is based on the various research that has given rise to the use of organic products as it has got many health benefits. People are becoming more health conscious, therefore the need is also rising. Promoting organic farming in the rural area is a challenge since they are now habituated to the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and use of pre-treated seeds for better produce, thereby the focus is more on quantity than quality.
Organic farming is now slowly picking-up among the beneficiaries.
