Watershed Development plays a key role in the
development sector, especially in the rural areas. Social Centre through the
fifty plus years of yeoman service in Watershed Movement has incorporated
associated works to enhance the livelihood and sustenance. The people of Satwad
inspired by the success in their neighbouring Karanji village approached Social
Centre to make them a part of mitigating Climate Change through the Watershed programme.
In this context, various activities have been
initiated in Satwad that will address 197 families in the area covering 477ha. They
will include children, youth, women and men from all walks of life through
various activities through integrated programmes that will help them to become
more self reliant and independent.
